I have loved books and stories since I was a little girl, and I still do! History is also a passion for me, and I especially enjoy novels that mix history and mystery. When I was growing up, my maternal grandmother often spoke about her big brother Brice who fought in World War I. He was gassed which affected his health for the rest of his life, and he died before I was born. Lately, I’ve taken time to study the Great War in more detail which, along with my Uncle Brice’s experiences, led me to setting my Arabella Stewart Historical Mystery series immediately after it. Along the way, I majored in social studies and English before going on to earn a Master’s degree in education. I taught English at the junior high, high school, and college levels. In addition, I worked as a golf shop manager, program coordinator, and online tutor. Now, I spend much of my time reading and writing. When I have a chance, I also like to spend time with family and friends, including my dog Izzy.
