Daphne Neville
Daphne Neville made Cornwall her home in 1972. She married in the county and after bringing up her children worked in the local pub where she was inspired to write The Ringing Bells Inn. When her debut novel was finalised she began a sequel, Polquillick. However, not happy that the stories covered a mere two years she decided to go for lucky seven and write a further five. Hence the seven books in the Trengillion Mystery Series cover village life in Cornwall over a time span of sixty years from 1952 to 2012. The Old Tile House is a standalone novella and introduces readers to Pentrillick, a village on the south coast of West Cornwall and the setting for The Pentrillick Cornish Mystery series. The first seven books in the Pentrillick series are available now. The eighth, Great Aunt Esme’s Pasty Shop, is on pre-order for release on January 7th 2022.
