Ess Harelson
Ess Harelson grew up in the mountains of Colorado, in a town not-unlike her fictional small town of Goldburgh. Now she lives where the air is thicker and the real estate prices are a little more realistic. She writes paranormal cozy mysteries and works in a middle school. Every day she hears something where she thinks, “I’m going to steal that and put it in a story.” Ess lives with her brilliant, yet self-effacing husband and her two children, with their cat, Alice, who has trained all of them to solve problems, as if they live in some giant psych lab run by cats. She dreams of one day having a Victorian conservatory for her exotic plants, with a phantasmal gardener to maintain it. For another side of Ess, look for YA novels and nonfiction under her alter ego, Susan Harelson.
