Frances and Richard Lockridge
Frances (1896-1963) and Richard (1898-1982) Lockridge were a writing couple who created several mystery series in a shared universe. Frances plotted the stories which Richard then wrote. Most involved police detectives in New York City, but their most famous series, Mr. and Mrs. North, was about an amateur couple. Richard and Frances were co-presidents of Mystery Writers of America in 1960, and received an Edgar Award in 1962.
