She has blogged for a number of years about a variety of topics and also enjoys cooking and art journaling. Her first novel, The Birthing Tree is based partially on stories from her childhood growing up on a haunted farm. She enjoys weaving stories together from real life, the paranormal, and eclectic sources. Dark Dealings, her second novel also uses her real-life experience of receiving tarot and oracle cards from an online friend. This simple gesture planted the seed for the story that unfolds in the novel. Mrs. Schenck is currently working on her third novel, New Orleans Calls, which is the second book in The Birthing Tree series.
