Patsy Pridgen
Patsy Pridgen is a lifelong resident of eastern North Carolina, where she has absorbed the culture and dialects of this distinct part of the state. Married to her high school sweetheart since the Carter administration, she is a mother of three and grandmother of five. Patsy taught English in the community college for 27 years, handing in her red pen the semester she turned 60, the magical age when state employees with her time served qualify for a retirement check.
